FAQ

CoinCatch P2P User Agreement

To conduct P2P transactions, please complete the following operation for your account as required:
  1. Identity verification
  2. Link email to your account
  3. Link your phone number to your account
  4. Set a fund password
  5. To ensure completion of an active buy order, users must make payment within the designated timeframe and click the “Paid” button. If a user cancels an order or it is automatically cancelled due to non-payment within the specified time frame, the system will count it as one order cancellation. If a user has 3 cancelled orders in a single day, the system will prevent them from making purchases for that particular day.
  6. If a buyer fails to click the "Paid" button after making payment and the order is automatically cancelled, the seller may choose to proceed with or reject the transaction. If they reject it, the funds will be returned to the original payment account.
  7. Clicking the "Paid" button before making or completing payment is considered malicious behavior, and users should avoid doing so. If a user files an appeal for such behavior, the seller may reject the transaction. In more serious cases, the customer support may freeze the user's account.
  8. If a user fails to complete payment within the specified time frame and does not respond to the seller, and an appeal is filed for the order, the seller may reject the transaction.
  9. After completing payment and clicking "Confirm," if the seller does not deliver the digital assets within the specified time frame, users should use the chat box tool to communicate with the seller. If they have complied with the platform's regulations and procedures (including providing necessary legal certificates), but the seller still does not respond, they can file an appeal against the seller.
If the User asks for help, the P2P team can support with the complaint according to appeal-handling rules. However, the Platform is not involved in P2P transactions and is not required to get involved in any User disputes. CoinCatch and the Platform have the authority to make final decisions on appeal cases and can choose to reopen appeals as they see fit. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
  1. If you cancel an order because the Seller does not have a valid payment method, resulting in you being unable to make a purchase that day, you can request that Customer Support lifts the restriction by removing it from the system's records.
  2. Make sure to use your account that has been verified with your real name (e.g. bank account or other payment accounts) to make the payment. If you use an unverified account or someone else's account, the Seller may reject the transaction and refund your payment if an appeal is filed for the order.
  3. Choose a payment method that allows for instant payment to ensure the transaction is completed promptly.
  4. If the Seller does not receive payment within 10 minutes of you clicking the “Paid” button, they may reject the transaction if an appeal is filed for the order.
  5. Verify that the payment method supported by the Seller is up-to-date to ensure the accuracy of their account information. If you transfer funds to a different account than the one specified in the order, you assume the risk of fund security on your own.
  6. Opt for a payment method that allows for swift or instantaneous transfer of funds. Avoid using payment options like international wire transfers, which can lead to transaction delays.
  7. If the Seller prefers to receive payment through "instant payment" or "quick payment," obtaining their permission is necessary before using any other payment methods, such as international transfers.
  8. If you select "Cash in Person" as the payment method, keep note that our customer service team cannot verify the payment.
  9. During an ongoing order, the digital assets are secured on the Platform. If the Seller fails to release the digital assets to you within 10 minutes of you clicking the “Paid” button and completing payment, you can initiate an appeal. If your actions comply with the rules, the Platform will recognize you as the rightful owner of the digital assets.
  10. Avoid using any sensitive words or phrases related to digital currency in the remarks section, including but not limited to, terms like USDT, BTC, cryptocurrency, CoinCatch, and Order Number. Using these terms may result in the Seller requesting to reject the transaction and refund your payment.
  11. Using any code, bots, or scripts that specifically target P2P orders with significant price differences could result in the suspension of your account.
